History
A Family owned and run business
Raylands Park has operated under current ownership since the 1970’s. It is owned by local firm Roundstone Caravan Depot LLP, a family business that was established in the 1930’s. The family first started their journey into the world of caravans by constructing and selling some of the very first touring caravans. During the war years they turned their attention to running a caravan park in Southwater, West Sussex – Roundstone Park which is still owned and run by the family today.
Working Hard
Creating a peaceful park
Raylands was purchased by the family in 1978. At the time it was a mixture of Static Holiday homes and they also took in touring caravans and tents. The owners worked hard to improve the Park and as the years went on decided to focus on creating a peaceful park of holiday homes owned by private owners over 50 yrs old for people to escape to and enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside. A licensed Clubhouse was created and that remains today serving as a lovely social hub where owners can meet up and enjoy some drinks with friends and a bite to eat.

For the last couple of decades we, at Raylands, have become more and more conscious of the local ecology and how we affect the plants and animals we are so lucky to be surrounded by. Much effort has gone into encouraging wildlife including owls, other birds of prey, bats, hedgehogs, wild birds, bees and other creatures.

Rosie – Managing Director
Rosie often welcomes new owners personally. Raylands Park was purchased by her father in the 1970s, continuing a family tradition of managing caravan parks dating back to the 1930s. Her dedication ensures Raylands remains a warm, welcoming, and well-loved family park.

Ben has been with the family business since his teens. He leads rewilding projects, creating a haven for owls, hedgehogs, butterflies, and even our beehives. He works across both parks to make sure nature and relaxation thrive.

With 40+ years in the business, Steve manages the buying of new and pre-owned holiday homes and helps maintain the park.
His expertise ensures Raylands always looks its best.

Neil – Director
Neil oversees both Raylands and Roundstone Park, making sure everything is maintained to the highest standard. His eye for detail guarantees a top-quality experience for all guests.

Dave – Grounds & Maintenance
Dave has been with the family business since his teens and keeps everything running smoothly – from repairs to machinery to park projects. He often works alongside Ben and Neil on larger improvements.

Lisa ensures the financial side of the park runs seamlessly. As a new addition to the team she brings a wealth of experience in finance to help owners and guests with any queries.
